Bricio Velazquez

I'm a Senior Android Engineer with 12 years of global software engineering experience and 9 years building native Android applications that scale — not just to thousands of users, but to millions. I've led development on platforms serving 2M+ daily users at Kroger, 3.5M+ subscribers at Comcast Xfinity, and 3.8M+ device installs at Globant, consistently delivering production-grade solutions that exceed business objectives.
What sets me apart is the combination of deep technical expertise and real-world impact at enterprise scale. I specialize in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Clean Architecture, and MVI/MVVM patterns, with hands-on experience driving full Jetpack Compose migrations, Gradle 9 upgrades, and modular architecture refactors on live, high-traffic applications. I don't just write code — I architect systems built to last.
My work spans retail, media, fintech, hospitality, government, and healthcare, which means I adapt fast, ask the right questions, and understand that every industry has unique constraints and expectations. I've won a national USPS Augmented Reality contest, built the first-ever mobile app for Mexico's Department of National Defense, and co-created an international biomechanics research prototype — proof that I bring both innovation and execution to the table.
I also bring emerging-tech leadership through hands-on AI Agents and Generative AI integration, GCP expertise, and an MBA in ICT — ensuring the solutions I deliver are not only technically sound today but strategically future-ready.
When you hire me, you get a senior engineer who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and treats your product with the same care and precision I've applied to apps used by millions.
