I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry with over five years of research experience in synthetic organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, and catalysis. My doctoral research focused on the design and development of iron-, nickel-, cobalt-, and manganese-based catalytic systems for sustainable organic transformations, including C–H functionalization, hydroboration, hydrosilylation, and fluoroalkylation reactions. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at Virginia Tech, where I continue to conduct advanced research in organic synthesis, reaction development, and mechanistic investigations.
Throughout my academic career, I have gained extensive experience in designing synthetic routes, performing air- and moisture-sensitive reactions, purifying and characterizing organic compounds, and analyzing reaction mechanisms. I am proficient in a variety of analytical techniques, including NMR spectroscopy, GC-MS, LC-MS, and chromatographic purification methods. In addition to laboratory research, I have experience mentoring students, writing scientific manuscripts, preparing technical reports, and presenting research findings at conferences and seminars.
My key strengths include problem-solving, experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing, and project management. I am highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary research environments. These skills, combined with my strong foundation in chemistry and communication, enable me to contribute effectively to research, technical, educational, and scientific content-related roles.
