I have a Master's degree in Biodiversity Conservation and work as a Marine Conservation and Coastal Ecosystem Research Consultant. I have worked in Cambodia's coastal and marine environments. My job is to keep an eye on marine habitats, do research on blue carbon, and help communities manage their coastal resources.
I have done a lot of fieldwork and study in Cambodia's coastal regions, such as Kampot, Kep, Koh Kong, and the Koh Rong Archipelago. My research backs up conservation and climate resilience projects that are founded on science. I am very good at studying seagrass ecosystems, restoring mangroves, keeping an eye on coral reefs, and measuring blue carbon.
I have been in charge of and helped with projects for monitoring the environment, charting marine habitats, and restoring ecosystems. These tasks include moving seagrass, watching coral spawn, keeping an eye on the regeneration of mangroves, and putting anti-trawling blocks back in place. She has also made monitoring plans and technical reports to help with long-term ecosystem evaluation and planning for conservation.
I know a lot about GIS and remote sensing analysis, analyzing environmental data, and writing scientific reports. I work with government agencies, NGOs, community fisheries, and research partners on a regular basis to improve marine conservation efforts and assist long-term management of the coast.
I have expertise in collecting socio-ecological data, coordinating research, and communicating scientific findings, in addition to doing research in the field. I have written peer-reviewed articles on blue carbon and seagrass ecology, and I have spoken about my research at conferences in my area and throughout the world.
