Since 2013, I began my career as a Java developer in 2013, shortly after earning my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in the Philippines. Since then, I’ve worked with companies across various industries—including telecommunications, retail, cloud security, insurance, animal genetics, and cyber GRC—in the US, Europe, Australia, and Japan, either as a contractor or as part of an offshore team. Since 2015, all the projects I’ve worked on have followed Agile methodologies, mostly Scrum.
My development experience has primarily focused on web applications built with Spring Boot and Maven. I’ve taken on a wide range of responsibilities, including developing new features, fixing bugs, automating tests, designing UIs and UML diagrams, and providing production support.
My technical experience includes the following technologies: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST APIs, Spring Data, Spring Schedulers, Spring Cache, JSP, Hibernate, Maven, AWS Lambda (Node.js), AWS SQS, AWS S3, AWS DynamoDB, AWS RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AngularJS, Angular (TypeScript), JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Jasmine, Protractor, Selenium, Cucumber, and third-party APIs such as SendGrid, MailPulse, Nessus, and OpenCTI. While my knowledge on some of these technologies may not be as fresh, I am confident I will still be able to pick any of these up in as little time as possible shortly after I get onboarded to a project.
