Daniel McCluskey

I am a UK-based Systems Developer and Moodle specialist with years of experience supporting Moodle environments in higher education and business settings.

I work with Moodle every day as part of my full-time role, supporting production, test, and development environments. My experience includes Moodle upgrades, plugin installation and troubleshooting, theme changes, backups, migrations, Azure hosting, Linux server management, cron issues, authentication, integrations, and performance optimisation.

I also build custom Moodle plugins, improve existing plugins, troubleshoot broken sites, help with server moves, and support clients with long-term Moodle maintenance.

Alongside Moodle, I have experience with Azure, MySQL, PHP, Docker, DevOps pipelines, Blazor, C#, and general infrastructure work. This means I can support both the Moodle side and the hosting side of a project.

I know Moodle can become messy quickly. One outdated plugin, PHP version issue, or strange theme override can turn a simple upgrade into a major problem. I enjoy solving those problems and helping people get their Moodle environments stable, reliable, and easier to manage.
