My thesis examined formal and informal institutions for sand mining in Kenya’s rivers, analyzing their impacts on social-ecological systems and proposing strategies for sustainable resource management.
I completed an Advanced Diploma in Project Management at Nairobi Institute of Business Studies. My studies focused on project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation, equipping me with skills in team coordination, resource management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement to successfully lead and manage projects across various sectors.
I completed the Health Effects of Climate Change Certificate at HarvardX. The program focused on understanding how climate change impacts human health, including heat-related illnesses, vector-borne diseases, air quality, and mental health. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Water and Environment Management at JKUAT, graduating with First Class Honours. My studies focused on hydrological modeling, water resource planning, environmental sustainability, and natural resource management. I gained hands-on experience in water quality analysis, streamflow simulation, and environmental assessment. My research project involved simulating the streamflow of the Umba River in Kenya using the WEAP model, providing insights for reservoir planning and sustainable water management.
