Overview

I write, edit and proofread financial and business content for clients who need accuracy and clarity in equal measure. My focus is Zambian business, the economy and public policy. I turn dense source material such as company results, national statistics, regulatory reports and conference sessions into articles that general readers can follow and specialists can trust.

Experience

For about a year, I have worked in a writing and content role at Financial Insight Zambia, a multi award winning media company. My work covers field reporting, long-form articles, social media, multimedia content and financial literacy outreach. I have written on listed company results, quarterly GDP performance, energy tariffs and fuel pricing, copper and foreign debt, and digital economy taxation, including features from the AmCham Economic Outlook Breakfast and the HLB Zambia Tax Indaba. I also won first place in an article writing competition.

As an editor and proofreader, I work in UK English and hold copy to a consistent house style. I check titles, openings, structure, figures and currency formatting, and I revise in structured passes until the piece reads cleanly.

Background

I am a third-year Bachelor of Business Administration student at the University of Zambia, studying Financial Management, Taxation, Business Law, Risk Management and Insurance, Microeconomics and Accounts. I also hold an editorial role on the Research Committee of UNZABECA. Earlier customer-facing sales work taught me to listen closely to what a client needs and deliver it on time.
