• Analyze business and functional requirements to create test scenarios, test cases and test data for web applications in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, end-to-end, GUI and cross-browser test cases to verify quality before release.
• Perform exploratory, ad-hoc and re-testing to uncover defects missed by scripted test cases.
• Perform REST API testing using Postman, validating JSON responses, HTTP methods, status codes and request/response data.
• Validate backend data and database transactions using SQL queries (MySQL, SQL Server) to confirm data integrity.
• Log, track and retest defects in JIRA across the defect life cycle; coordinate with developers and business teams on resolution.
• Take part in defect triage and root cause analysis to help prevent recurring issues and improve release quality.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), test execution reports and test summary reports.
• Support automation of repetitive regression and smoke scenarios using Python, Selenium and Pytest; run suites in Jenkins.
• Take part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and requirement review meetings.
