Background

Concept Artist
Sussex Police/University of Brighton · 01/11/2025 – 20/04/2026
- The brief: Create a pitch for a social media campaign that will effectively get young men to stop driving under the influence.
- Research was the hallmark of this project. I learned that most accidents under the influence happen close to home(The safe zone) and that, psychologically, a majority of our population thinks that an accident won't happen to them if they drive under the influence.
- These two points led me to the title 'What are the odds?'. My campaign uses gambling as a metaphor for how every time you spin that wheel or roll those dice by getting behind the wheel, your chances of disaster get higher and higher.
- The end of each animation has information about what the alternatives are: bus, taxi, designated driver or an app called Get Your Coat. The message is as important as the solution.
- This allowed me the chance to work collaboratively with my peers and think critically about how to approach a tough subject.
Lead Artist
James Moore · 15/04/2024 – Today
- The Legendary Tales of Elrohir and Rattington is a personal project that combines classic epic fantasy themes and cinematography with many cultures, creatures and personalities.
- Our team is small, and as the lead and only artist, it is important to me that I make our vision come to life.
- I am involved in every aspect from pre-production to post-production. This work has allowed me to grow as an artist as I have edited scripts, created storyboards, character designs and built worlds that follow the same themes and designs in order to create a unified vision.
- As lead animator, I create animatics and aid in voice acting and pacing alongside our scriptwriter.
- I work with our photographer/location expert, to get the best locations for our concept and to communicate the storyboards effectively.
- Each character design, city/landscape art and script is reviewed by the team to ensure they stay true to the cultures, history and personalities we have put a lot of thought into.
Residential Artist
Sigrid Flapper Kootstra · 03/07/2023 – 20/11/2023
- Volunteered at a retreat for young adults with mental health issues; the
role was to create a welcoming farm-themed space for the residents.
- Commissioned to paint 3 doors, 2 cabinets, and 4 chairs for 3 rooms.
- Worked on commission-based projects for personalised artwork delivery.
Easily learned how to use new tools such as drop saws, drills, and
sanding machines.
- Created custom art pieces to meet client specifications.
- Coordinated with the owners on the themes of each of the rooms
- Designed a moose mural for the hunting hut. Painted a door with
chickens, pigs, rabbits and many other farm animals for the kitchen. In
the grain hut, painted murals of birds, hoopoes, chickens, etc
Mural Painter
International School of Kenya · 05/11/2022 – 15/05/2023
- Implemented feedback from community consultations into mural
designs for more inclusive artworks.
- The mural was in the head Office, after discussions, we decided the
design needed to show inclusivity, open-mindedness and fun.
- Crafted detailed sketches before painting to ensure client
satisfaction with the final design.
- The final design was: people sitting on top of door frames, sitting and
walking on the stairs, some upside-down as though the ceiling were
the floor. The humans were in black and white, accompanied by
shapes in vibrant colours inspired by the 80s.
- Worked efficiently under time constraints, creating impressive
results within limited timeframes.
- Maintained Organised workspaces whilst ensuring adherence to
health and safety regulations.
