The ISTQB Foundation Level is the internationally recognized entry-level certification in software testing, serving as the standard prerequisite for all further ISTQB Foundation and Advanced level certifications. The syllabus covers the core principles, vocabulary, and processes of software testing: testing fundamentals, testing throughout the software development lifecycle, static testing, test analysis and design, test management, and test tools — relevant across Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery environments. Certification requires passing a 40-question exam with a minimum 65% score, administered globally through the iSQI Group.
