Building websites and my first 'if it works on Safari we are heroes' sites. Step by step getting more and more in the direction of (first hybrid) native design. The first clients started asking "do we need an app"? In a way it was mobile-first thinking back when the term didn't exist yet.

Webdeveloper building sites with a CMS using TYPO3, Mambo and PHP Nuke. Stumbled into working with PHP because you just adapted or would miss the train (or Rails). Building user interfaces (UI's) for client terminals in public spaces, pushed me into server-side development organically. Frameworks like Rails later gave structure to patterns I was already using. and working more and more with Rails (Ruby on Rails).

Webdesigner - Building websites in static HTML (and tables) and Macromedia Flash (Action scripts), Macromedia Fireworks (to "slice" images) and Macromedia Dreamweaver. First starts with CSS, although it was strictly for and IE6 had to make it's entry.
