The MOOC provides learners with the necessary tools to understand and practice solutions journalism: its roots and evolutions, its raison d'être, its different practices, its methodology, its multiple formats. With the help of figures, it also provides ways to convince a newsroom to adopt it as well as to build a coherent and sustainable business model. Finally, it addresses the management and training issues that this type of journalism can generate.

This badge is awarded to participants who successfully completed all five (5) modules of the English for Journalism 2023 MOOC with a grade of 70% or higher. The English for Journalism Self-Paced Massive Open Online Course is designed for English language learners who seek to improve both their English skills and their knowledge of journalism at the same time. Learners study principles of journalism, analyze news and media sources, read critically to detect bias and compare sources, and gain skills for writing articles, conducting interviews, and delivering news in English. Course materials include video lectures, vocabulary flashcards, news articles, and videos, speaking and writing assignments, comprehension quizzes, and vocabulary and grammar quizzes.
