Sunny Dubey

I’m a backend engineer focused on building reliable, scalable, and well-structured systems. I graduated with a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIIT Nagpur and currently work as a Backend Engineer at Simple Viral Games, where I design and operate production backend services used by thousands of users daily.

My experience includes building REST APIs with Django and Django Rest Framework, designing efficient database models, and optimizing performance using PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery. I’ve worked on containerized deployments using Docker and AWS, migrated services from Elastic Beanstalk to ECS (Fargate), and implemented zero-downtime blue-green deployments.

I’ve built systems beyond standard CRUD—such as cross-platform payment integrations, real-time voice and video backend logic, and priority-based background task processing. I also care deeply about observability and reliability, setting up monitoring and alerting with Grafana and New Relic to improve system stability.

I enjoy understanding systems from first principles—operating systems, networking, and distributed system trade-offs—rather than treating frameworks as black boxes. Outside of work, I actively solve algorithmic problems (700+ solved) and write about what I learn to sharpen my thinking and communication.
