I'm Victor, a software developer with 7 years of experience building backend systems, designing software architecture, and working close to the hardware layer. My background is in building things from scratch — communication protocols, rules engines, ORMs, service architectures — rather than just assembling frameworks.
My most significant project was a full security-oriented SCADA system built in Python for a real client. It involved designing a custom TCP/IP communication protocol from the ground up, implementing a rules engine with complex boolean logic and recursive event evaluation, building a custom ORM over SQLite, and architecting a multiprocess service system to solve real concurrency constraints. On the C# side, I have a gRPC API project structured around Domain-Driven Design with clean separation between domain, application, data access, and service layers.
Technically, I work with Python (asyncio, multiprocessing, decorators, metaclasses, ABCs, type hints, unit testing) and C# (gRPC, generics, Entity Framework, interface-driven design). On the database side I have hands-on experience with SQLite and PostgreSQL, including raw SQL and ORM usage. I'm comfortable with software architecture patterns — DDD, Repository, Factory, Singleton, Observer, Strategy, Decorator, Command, Proxy, Adapter, Broker, PAC — not as theory but as decisions I've had to justify and implement.
On the embedded side, I've worked with bare-metal firmware (8051, 8086, Arduino, Raspberry Pi), hardware interrupts, real-time constraints, manual memory management, serial/I2C/SPI/GPIO protocols, and digital circuit design using state machines and VHDL.
How I work: async-first. I communicate clearly in writing, deliver structured progress updates, and document thoroughly. I don't do video calls. I take on well-scoped projects and part-time engagements — I'm available and focused in the evenings, and I'd rather be judged on what I deliver than on when I'm online. Rates are negotiated per project.
