I have extensive experience in leading donor-funded programs, focusing on youth engagement, gender transformation, safeguarding, women's empowerment, and food security in various contexts. Successfully managed the Gender Disability Inclusive and Youth Employment Program (GDIYEP) at ORDA Ethiopia, coordinating a diverse team and government partners. Fostered strong partnerships, monitored project implementation, and ensured sustainability. As a project coordinator and senior gender officer, I drove gender transformation and inclusive practices.
I effectively supervised and executed the project, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Fostered cooperation with stakeholders, developed work plans, and reports, and oversaw monitoring and evaluation with a focus on gender, safeguarding, youth inclusiveness, persons with disabilities, and mother and child nutrition development. Provided technical leadership in value chain analysis and advancing youth economic engagement through food and nutrition interventions, with a specific emphasis on promoting gender equality and safeguarding vulnerable populations.
Successfully executed and oversaw the project to ensure it met its objectives and adhered to the organization’s goals. Mobilized and organized pertinent organizations and stakeholders. Developed work plans, progress reports, and analytical reports while also ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation of the project, including training and communication activities.
Played a key part in ensuring the successful execution of project initiatives through community mobilization for the economic empowerment of adolescent girls at risk of early marriage. This involved facilitating training sessions, providing on-going support for daily activities, and assisting with committee meetings. Additionally, I was responsible for developing work plans, compiling progress reports, and documenting best practices
