With over 25 years of experience across hospitality, leisure, entertainment, and events, I have built a career at the intersection of operational excellence, strategic leadership, and quality-driven transformation. Throughout my professional journey, I have led and supported complex hospitality operations in Belgium and the Netherlands, ranging from independent concepts to large-scale international entertainment groups. In roles such as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations, I was responsible for restructuring venues, elevating service standards, coaching multidisciplinary teams, and developing both B2B and B2C strategies with a clear focus on guest experience and long-term sustainability.
In addition to my operational background, I am deeply engaged at a sectoral level. As Vice President of Horeca Vlaanderen in Antwerp, I actively represent hospitality entrepreneurs, contribute to policy discussions, and initiate sector-wide events and dialogue platforms. This role has strengthened my understanding of structural challenges within the industry and reinforced my belief that measurable quality, transparent evaluation, and continuous training are essential to future-proof hospitality organizations.
More recently, as Founder and Consultant at De Perceptie, I support hospitality and event projects in areas such as concept development, branding, digitalization, and operational optimization. This advisory role allows me to combine strategic analysis with hands-on execution — a balance I consider crucial when assessing service quality, operational maturity, and organizational culture.
What defines my approach is a strong attention to detail, a people-centered leadership style, and a genuine commitment to quality as a driver of both guest satisfaction and business performance. I am particularly motivated by environments where evaluation, benchmarking, and improvement are not control mechanisms, but instruments for growth and excellence.
