Philipp W. Kutter worked the last 20 years mainly as Business Analyst & Information Architect for leading Swiss banks, insurance
companies and related industries. He combines agile, model- and test-driven approaches for fast feedback loops between business
and IT. Most of his projects involved a complex setup, involving numerous stakeholders, vendors, and experts from various cultural
backgrounds. During the years he worked regularly with developers from Cameroon, Russia, India, Ukraine, and the USA. Where
possible, he systematically uses UML and BPMN formalisms.
Philipp has deep experience in data and regulatory topics such as business records management, data management, data
confidentiality, and complex banking and insurance topics front-to-back, including structured products, derivatives, cash and
security accounting, and client service models. He is a founding member of the official Swiss Commission for Financial Standards
Technology & Methodology, working on ISO20022 (Payment Data), FIBO (Financial Industry Business Ontology) and related
banking standards based on complex data standardization technologies such as Data Modeling and Ontologies.
Originally, Philipp was trained in computer science at ETH Zurich graduating as Master and PhD with distinctions. He has a sound
mathematical and engineering background. He worked in several large scale SAFe based programs and has obtained
corresponding certifications. Prior to his work for banks, he founded an ETH spin-off in business and data analysis and served as
the CTO of the Swiss internet agency Eyekon. He worked and lived in France, Germany, and California.
