Responsibilities include sourcing new opportunities for project to maximise value for
money, procurement planning (NEC tender events), and estimating, planning and
managing budgets.

issues for senior leadership.
➢ Increased process improvement initiatives and troubleshot problems for corrective action to
boost functionality and workflow.
➢ Leverage trends identifying area of improvement and implement solutions to improve
efficiency.
➢ Drafted action plans and lead meetings with department executives to review project status
and proposed changes.
➢ Strategize long-term business needs, driving customer feedback for process
improvements.
➢ Trained and mentored junior team members leveraging previous experiences for optimal
project approach.
Sourced new opportunities, led NEC procurement/tender planning, managed budgets and identified cost savings. Delivered complex projects on time/budget for senior leadership, drove process improvement, led executive reviews, and trained/mentored junior team members.
Key projects (National Gas Investment Management, RIIO programmes):
Metering & Gas Quality Upgrade — multi-site replacement of obsolete SICK Flo-Sic600 DRU meters with Flo-Sic600 XT, incl. cyber security compliance, IT/OT, orifice-to-ultrasonic conversion, and instrumentation, pipework, flow computer, electrical and analyser upgrades, plus hazardous area assessment.
Compressor Cab Infrastructure (Phases I & II, CABS21) — multi-site refurbishment of compressor cab assets (Rolls Royce Avon/Siemens Cyclone turbines): exhaust/air intake and ventilation refurbishment, fire suppression replacement, cab structure refurbishment, high-temperature resolution, and instrumentation/electrical modifications.
Managed scope development/review, stakeholder liaison incl. remedial works, early budget/risk estimation, contractor selection/tender and contract strategy, critical path identification/mitigation, and managing outage-restricted construction, commissioning and testing, working with operations to diagnose faults and restore plant.
Key projects:
Alrewas Vent & Sealant Line Replacement (Asset Health Campaign): Pit wall transitions, replacement of valve vents, sealant lines, actuator cabinet and painting, supporting claiming Regulatory output targets.
Alrewas Fire & Gas/SSD Replacement — upgraded protection/telemetry to GE PAC8000 SafetyNet.
National Governor Replacement (Huntingdon, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Diss) — replaced obsolete Woodward Excel 250 governors with Allen Bradley ControlLogix systems for Rolls Royce Avon compressors per BS ISO 21789.
Aylesbury & Huntingdon Instrumentation Replacement — designed, procured and commissioned obsolete instrumentation, type-for-type.
Chartered Engineer (CEng), registered with Institution of Engineering and Technology which is a professional designation recognising the competence and judgement required to lead complex engineering projects safely and responsibly, maintained through ongoing professional development.
MSc (Master of Science) in Electrical Power Engineering with Business — combining advanced technical study in electrical power systems with business and management principles. This dual focus has been directly relevant to my project management career, bridging technical engineering decision-making with commercial awareness, budgeting, and stakeholder management in infrastructure projects.
