Growth & Outreach Associate
Description
Sum-IT is a new platform that helps professionals throughout the Netherlands with their accounting and brings them into contact with others in their profession. It was built by a young Dutch entrepreneur who started a specialist business of his own and lacked exactly this tool — something that keeps the day-to-day administration in order right away, instead of accumulating until the last minute. We are in the final testing phase before launch.
The position
We are looking for a sharp, social, Dutch-speaking self-starter who helps us get in touch with the people who matter most now: the professionals who will use Sum-IT, and the partners who can introduce us to them. It is a hybrid function — half telephone acquisition, half promotion on the street.
What you will do
(PHASE 1) Call DIY stores and retailers (Rexel, Boels, Bouwmaat and similar) and local accounting firms to open conversations about partnerships and referral arrangements, and get us to the right person when email alone doesn't work
(PHASE 2) Represent Sum-IT at on-site activations — think coffee pop-ups at hardware stores, flyers and similar street promotion
(PHASE 2) Talk directly to professionals, explain in plain language what Sum-IT does, and convince them to download the app and sign up
(PHASE 1 AND 2) Keep track of who you have spoken to, what has been said and what the next steps are, and feed this back to the team so that we can follow up properly
(PHASE 2) Identify what works and what doesn't on the street, and let us know — you'll often be the first to hear
What we are looking for
Young, sharp and driven — just as comfortable calling a stranger as you are with a conversation in person
Native Dutch speaker, as most conversations are with Dutch companies and professionals
Genuinely social — this is a persuasion role, not a role in which you read a script
Organized enough to keep the acquisition on track without close oversight
Curious about startups and comfortable with a little uncertainty — we'll build this as we go
Own transport is an advantage, as the work involves visiting multiple locations — but no problem if there isn't one, we'll arrange something
Reimbursement
To be determined — we are happy to discuss the structure in consultation.
