Over the past five years, I have grown from an unpaid volunteer to a Program Officer coordinating a UNDP-funded peacebuilding project — all within the same organization. That progression was never handed to me; it was earned through consistent performance and the trust my organization placed in me at each stage.

In terms of measurable impact, I have directly contributed to reaching over 200 vulnerable households through livelihood support, and hundreds of adolescent girls through education and menstrual hygiene campaigns. I was trusted to lead a 2-day staff capacity building workshop on PSEA for 15 colleagues, and I served as Assistant to the Executive Director — a role that only comes with demonstrated reliability and discretion.

As a Volunteer Field Officer, I consistently exceeded community participation targets. And ultimately, being selected to coordinate a UN-supported project in a conflict-affected region, at my career stage, is the indicator I am most proud of — because it reflects not just what I have done, but the confidence others have placed in my ability to deliver.

I do not just work hard in the background — I grow, I lead, and I get results.
