If your IT infrastructure requires strict SLA (service level agreement) compliance, you'll likely want to automate routine incident response steps and receive alerts via established communication channels prompting people to respond. In this case, setting up responsive and reliable event monitoring using logs and other sensors is a necessary service.

For the paid service, you'll receive a package of changes comparable in complexity to 500 lines of configuration code for your monitoring system's data elements. We'll help you find one if you don't already have one.

These 500 lines include:
- Definition of data elements for the resources that need to be monitored
- Configuration of monitoring sensors
- Setting up a dashboard for viewing metrics calculated from data (numerical series, integral indicators)
- Setting up incident events when target metrics are violated
- Setting up automated incident responses (sending messages to stakeholders, automated responses, such as restarting or reconfiguring monitored configuration elements)

Along with the monitoring system configuration, the customer has the opportunity to test the system in a separate environment, or in their own environment, if they allow the contractor to do so.
