Service overview
As a financial auditor at an audit firm, I regularly review my clients’ cash position during audit engagements. I know what statutory auditors and funding organizations check, and I prepare your reconciliations accordingly.
What I do:
Line-by-line matching between your general ledger (account 52 and subsequent accounts) and your bank statements
Identification of discrepancies: uncleared checks, pending transfers, unrecorded fees and bank charges, data-entry errors, and duplicates
Proposal of adjusting entries to be recorded in the accounts
Preparation of a monthly or annual bank reconciliation statement, signed and dated
Analysis of old outstanding items, with recommendations for clearing them
Creation of an Excel reconciliation template that you can reuse each month
Who it is for: SMEs, retailers, NGOs, associations, and donor-funded projects with one or more bank accounts.
